Sciences and technologies for progress in miniaturisation

Microengineering is the art of creating, building or using miniature components, machines and systems in mass production. Microengineering lies at the origin of a great number of products and of the technologies which are necessary for their assembly.

The most important aspect of this domain is interdisciplinarity, since microengineering systems include elements of electronics, computing, chemistry, mechanics, optics and materials science.

The microengineer has a wide range of science and technology at his/her disposal. He/she is at the crossroads between technology, innovation and discovery.

Microengineering - the adventure is getting smaller all the time !
