Research Area

Prof. Altug’s lab is working on cutting edge on-chip optical bio-nanosensor and biomolecular spectroscopy systems by exploiting plasmonics, bioimaging and integrated micro/nanofluidic systems. Her lab focuses on demonstrating ultra-sensitive, label-free and massively multiplexed biosensors that can analyze very low quantities of biomolecules and cells. Her lab is also developing highly sensitve, low-cost and truely portable biosensors suitable for personalized medicine, global health, point-of-care and early disease diagnostics.
