Clusters
Multidisciplinary research is a strength. To improve the cohesion and visibility of laboratories who belong to different institutes but whose activities are close, STI has defined clusters, which are virtual structures, and, as such, can evolve quickly. Besides specializations within the institutes, these clusters help students identify areas of strength that exist across institutes including lists of faculty and courses of training in the areas. As of today, eighteen research clusters have been defined:
